Aerogarden.org.uk: Tomatoes, Chili Peppers and Salad greens in our warehouse – Part Two

Click here to see the original article on the three seed kits in our warehouse during the first two months of their growth

These shots were taken on 03/06/2008

Aerogarden - Cherry Tomato - 03062008

The tomato plants are now at full height – even with the extended lamp height which is shown elsewhere in the blog. We are now cutting back and pinching the growth at the top to encourage the plants to bush further down below. They have started to flower and we hope that we’ll have shots of the tomatoes at some point soon. At the moment it is not the prettiest plant. Customers can clearly see why we only have three active pods.

Aerogarden - Salad Greens - 03062008

The salad greens are continuously growing and being eaten by people in the warehouse. The height of the lamp is at the tallest default setting for the Aerogarden.

Aerogarden - Chilli Pepper - 03062008

The Chilli peppers are now at the heighest extended setting. As with the cherry tomatoes they need cut back and pinched on a regular basis to ensure they are bushing out. The flowers are all over the plants and we expect to start cropping soon.

They are all looking good, I think I will keep mine really well pinched back!

I am really looking forward to harvesting my first crop of herbs!
